Position Summary
The Account Manager serves as the primary connection between our clients and creative team. This person builds strong client relationships, develops a clear understanding of each client’s business and brand, and ensures that projects move efficiently from initial request through final delivery.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, responsive, comfortable managing multiple priorities, and able to translate client needs into clear direction for designers, writers, proofreaders, and other creative partners. This role requires strong communication, sound judgment, attention to detail, and a genuine commitment to client service.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for assigned clients.
- Build trusted relationships by understanding each client’s goals, brand, processes, challenges, and preferences.
- Receive project requests, clarify requirements, and gather the information and source materials needed to begin work.
- Develop clear project briefs, estimates, schedules, and next steps.
- Coordinate projects with designers, writers, proofreaders, developers, and outside creative partners.
- Monitor schedules, budgets, approvals, and deliverables throughout each project.
- Communicate project status, questions, risks, and changes proactively.
- Review work before it is presented to the client to confirm that it meets the project brief and brand requirements.
- Organize client feedback and translate it into clear, actionable direction for the creative team.
- Identify changes that may affect the original scope, schedule, or budget and communicate them before additional work proceeds.
- Maintain accurate project information in the company’s project-management and time-tracking systems.
- Prepare estimates, obtain approvals, and support accurate and timely invoicing.
- Help resolve concerns calmly, professionally, and collaboratively.
- Look for thoughtful ways the firm can provide additional value and support.
- Participate in client meetings, presentations, planning sessions, and project reviews.
- Support business-development efforts, including proposals, capabilities presentations, and client follow-up.
- Help strengthen internal processes and improve the overall client experience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, design, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Three or more years of account management, project management, marketing, agency, or creative-services experience preferred.
- Must be able to manage projects, schedules, assignments, proofs, documents, and status updates with minimal supervision.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously.
- Ability to establish priorities, meet deadlines, and remain composed when schedules change.
- Experience working with creative teams and an understanding of graphic design and production processes.
- Strong attention to detail, including proofreading and quality control.
- Ability to interpret client feedback and provide clear, constructive direction.
- Sound business judgment and an understanding of project scope, budgets, and profitability.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and project-management platforms; Adobe Workfront experience is a plus.

Pay: $65,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
